Michelle Seegert, PharmD, BCADM, BCACP, RYT-200

Michelle Seegert, PharmD, BCADM, BCACP, RYT-200, is a passionate yoga instructor, clinical pharmacist, and educator who brings a unique blend of expertise in movement, holistic health, and chronic disease management. With over 20 years of experience as a dance instructor, Michelle has a profound understanding of body mechanics and the transformative power of movement. Her journey into yoga began after a life-changing flow class with the exceptional Kori Clausen, where she discovered the deep connection between breath and movement and the immense potential of yoga to heal both mind and body.

In May 2023, Michelle completed her RYT-200 certification through Mukti Yoga, training under the inspiring Kori Clausen. The Mukti approach blends Hatha yoga with safe sequencing, focusing on moving with the breath, which enables graduates to teach all-levels classes. Since then, Michelle has been teaching a variety of all-levels classes at Hot Room Toledo, including Hot Power Vinyasa, Slow Flow Yoga, Hot 26/2 Yoga, and Sculpt fitness classes. Her classes are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in mindfulness, creating a welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Currently, Michelle is pursuing her RYT-500 certification and a 1,000-hour Sattva Yoga Therapy program. This rigorous training incorporates foundational yogic principles such as sound therapy, individualized adjustments, Yoga Nidra, guided meditatation and awareness practices, Ayurveda, chanting, and mudras. She focuses on meeting students where they are and tailoring yoga practices to their unique needs. Upon completing her studies, Michelle will embark on clinicals in both group and private settings and sit for the IAYT Yoga Therapy Board Certification Exam, further enhancing her ability to integrate yoga therapy into holistic wellness.

Michelle’s ultimate goal is to make people feel good while spreading awareness of yoga’s transformative power in disease prevention and treatment. She is passionate about advancing the understanding of yoga in all its aspects and aspires to contribute to research that demonstrates measurable outcomes. By doing so, she hopes to pave the way for Western society to embrace the ancient principles of Ayurveda and yoga as integral components of healthcare and disease prevention. Whether guiding a rejuvenating slow flow class, leading an energizing vinyasa session, or applying therapeutic principles, she is dedicated to sharing the life-changing benefits of yoga.

Thanks to her mentor, Michelle has learned that yoga is life and strives to share this profound truth with others. She wholeheartedly believes that yoga is about discovering the happiness and peace that reside within each of us. Her teaching emphasizes not only the physical but also the mental and emotional well-being of her students, empowering them to achieve balance, wellness, and joy in their lives.
