I have been practicing vinyasa style yoga, based in the classical Ashtanga tradition, for about six years. In March, 2006, I completed a 200+ hour teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis, and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. In addition to practicing under the direction of the Yoga Center's fine staff, I have been taught by Sean Corn, Darren Main, Govinda Kai, Tias Little, Anna Forrest and Doug and David Swenson. In August, 2006, I completed a 40 hour teacher training with David Swenson. I have been teaching yoga to persons of all ages and body types since October, 2005. My intention as a teacher is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable to every student who has the courage and sense of adventure to try yoga. I believe in the power of yoga to bring health, well-being and a real sense of joy to practitioners. I want my students to have a positive experience on the mat, to enjoy their yoga practice, so they will return to the practice again and again and experience its many benefits.
