Hello!
I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and completed my first YTT training in December 2024. After my first exposure I fell in love with yoga and have since incorporated yoga practice as a different way to move my body, a different type of exercise from my regular routines. I have always been athletic and have taken time for running, hiking, aerobic programs, weight lifting over the years. Adding yoga was, at first, a different way to challenge my body and add a focus on strength and flexibility to my routine. Yoga soon became a place for me to develop friendships outside of my mom-based social groups, a community of support, love and kindness and I saw tremendous changes in my mental wellness.
I completed YTT 200 because I wanted to share my love of yoga and help people, women especially, feel part of a community of support, physical and mental wellness. I jumped at the opportunity to read, research, listen and learn about Buddhism, yoga, meditation, mantra, pranayama and subsequently dove into YTT 300 to deepen my knowledge and have a structed program to guide me through personal development.
I love yoga. I love that it's accessible to every body. I have seen and felt the transformation that happens, physically and mentally through continued yoga practice and I want to be a support for others in their journey.
Outside of yoga, I live in New Hampshire, I am a wife of 22 years, a newly empty nesting mother of 2 boys, 17 and 18 years old, both going to school far away from home in South Carolina and Florida. I have a full time professional job in healthcare IT where I run a business unit responsible for 75 employees. I have been with the company for 25+ years.
