Brett Cotter, author of The Suicide Prevention Family Handbook, 3 Keys to Managing PTSD, and The Stress Is Gone Method, has 25 years experience helping clients recover from the most traumatic events of their lives. He leads trauma recovery retreats at the Omega Institute, Kripalu, Sivananda Ashram, and the Himalayan Institute. Brett is the trauma expert for Meditation University's teacher training program and trains crisis counselors in his suicide prevention protocol. He has taught the SIG Method in fortune 500 companies, universities, hospitals, the VA, disaster sites, military bases, inner city schools, and recovery centers.
Early in Brett's career he completed training with Dr. Kam Yuen - a 35th Generation Shaolin Grandmaster, Vianna Stibal - founder of ThetaHealing, studied technical remote viewing / healing, and began teaching his own intuitive healing modality.
In 2008, after completing his Meditation Teacher Training at the Himalayan Institute, Brett founded Stress Is Gone and has been working with individuals, families, and organizations ever since.
His breathwork method was certified by the American Institute of Stress in 2012, Brett is certified by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and his training programs are accredited by the International Mindfulness & Meditation Alliance.
