Marshall Greenhouse

I am a Chicago based musician and educator.  I love to travel with my wife Shannon and 2 children, Hugo (9) and Lumen (11). Everywhere I go I bring instruments and find local opportunities to share my music as well as learn the music from local professionals. I have performed all over the United States as well as Europe, Cuba and most recently in Mexico where I provided live music for private yoga classes in Puerto Aventuras. 

I graduated from The School of Music at Northwestern University in 1998. Moved to Chicago following graduation where I have been ever since living as a music performer and teacher. I teach kids drum and piano classes at The Old Town School of Folk Music (since 1999), concert percussion at Lincoln Elementary (Chicago Public School) and run my own small music school where I teach private drumset lessons and Teen Rock Band classes.

MANCHOyogaSOUNDS provides live soundtracks to accompany yoga teachers as well as sunrise handpan meditations and electronic sound baths. My travel setup includes handpan as well as electronic instruments that I live loop. Most of my music is improvised and is created to adapt to the specific situation. I have performed at retirement communities and have over 25 years experience teaching kids music classes so feel comfortable working with all age groups.

MANCHO- solo work for sound bath, live yoga classes, composition for modern dance, original music composition.

Chromabeats- electronic music duo

AfroZep- award winning act that performs the music of Led Zeppelin rearranged with African influences

KAVA- psychedelic music trio

Sphere- kids music duo which performs music from around the world while incorporating cultural stories and instrument demonstration
