Jim is a knowledgable and friendly fitness Aqua Fit instructor at two of his local pools. His specialty is gentle Aqua Fit for people with arthritis where local orthopaedic surgeons sent patients for pre and post surgical habilitation. Jim is a former university swimmer and waterpolo player where he studied kinesiology and business and is currently a volunteer stroke coach for the local water polo club while recovering from hip replacement surgery. He is looking for travel opportunities that tie into his comfort in teaching groups of people in the pool using the water for buoyancy, stability, and resistance.
Before an early retirement, Jim was a VP for a paediatric orthopaedic implant company (Pega Medical) where he managed 40 sales people and 250 hospitals in the USA and Canada.
As well as being a comfortable long distance swimmer, Jim maintains an 18 handicap at his local golf club.
After several joint replacements, Jim has excelled and is a model for using Aqua Fit to prepare his body for surgery and enjoy rapid returns to normal activity. Jim is a comfortable presenting to large groups as an Aqua Fit lecturer and is next scheduled to present this summer at the regional YMCA fitness instructor meeting.
