Kimberly Thurmond (RYT-500, Restorative Yoga Certified, Yin Yoga Certified, Chair Yoga Certified, Yoga for Seniors Certified) is a lifelong student of movement.
I took my first yoga class in 2006 and it blew my mind how amazing I felt afterward. Since that time, yoga has been a constant in my life and after retiring from a career as a professional aerial performer & instructor, I received my 200 hour certification from Blue Anjou in Texas and 300 hour certification with Heartwood Yoga Institute in Florida. Currently, I am pursuing my certification in Yoga Therapy.
I love how yoga brings the focus inward and really allows you the opportunity to connect (or reconnect) with your body, mind and breath on an intimate level. For me, yoga has been instrumental on my own personal healing path to such an extent that I want to share how this beautiful practice can add to your quality of life.
In my Hatha and Vinyasa classes, you will experience intentional movement and thoughtful focus on the breath. In my Restorative classes, I love to create a relaxing reprieve for the mind and body in a nurturing atmosphere. In all my classes, I strive to offer an inclusive environment that welcomes students of various skill level and abilities.
