Jackie Lebeau

Jackie Lebeau began her fitness career at the age of 17. A water baby from the age of 3-months old,
Jackie has been involved in aquatics her entire life from taking and teaching swim lessons, competitive
swimming, lifeguarding, and playing water polo in college. Thanks to the encouragement of her
supervisor in high school, Jackie chose to pursue teaching water exercise. Teaching water exercise was a
job skill Jackie was able to bring with her to college where she quickly decided that a career in fitness
was her destiny. Jackie soaked up as much fitness information as possible during her four years at
Virginia Tech and upon graduation proudly boasted certifications in AEA aquatic exercise, ACE personal
training, and AFAA group exercise. During graduate school at The University of Southern Mississippi,
Jackie began her yoga journey through the school of YogaFit and now holds a Yoga Alliance Approved
200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate.

Jackie is currently the Senior Director of Fitness at the University of Virginia in
Charlottesville, Virginia. Jackie teaches a myriad of group classes each week but the water exercises
classes are her favorite! Jackie is an Aquatic Training Specialist for the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA)
and is a continuing education provider for AEA, AFAA and ACE. She is the recipient of the Aquatic Fitness Professional of the Year (2020).

Jackie trains other trainers and has presented master classes, fitness lectures, instructor workshops, and learn-to-teach classes at the local, state, national, and
international level.
