Hello Team,
My name is Melanie Drozdowsky, I am 35 years old from Toronto, Canada. I am a registered physiotherapist with over 10 years experience in sports medicine in my professional life, and over 25 years in my competitive athletic career. I have always been an active person and taken health and wellness very seriously. Not a single day goes by that I do not exercise, stretch or think about meal prep. Since I was a child my parents put me into various sports or dance groups to keep us three girls active, but my main love and talent fell with competitive swimming. I swam at a national level and competed in two Canadian Olympic trials during my career. Naturally a job in life guarding, along with swim instructing was what I loved to do when not competing. I am a natural teacher who pays close attention to detail. My professional life as a physiotherapist also demands this detail, technique is everything. As my swimming career ended, I finally had time to explore other athletic adventures; I know compete in triathlons every summer, participate in yoga/ Pilates regularly and have a membership to F45 (functional fitness group training).
Growing up, my parents always participated in group fitness/ aerobic classes and I really fell in love with group fitness because I wanted to be like my parents. They set a good example about keeping a healthy lifestyle, even when on vacation. Every time I'm away on holiday, I seek out hotels that offer group fitness of any kind, or tennis courts, so this program is just the right fit for me.
