Horacio Zambrano

I am an RSPA Elite Professional tennis teaching pro with a high performance and beginning tennis instruction business based in Oakland, CA (Northern California). Originally from Houston, Texas, I am 100% bicultural and bilingual with native fluency in English and Spanish, as well as conversational Portuguese and French. I have lived in CA most of my life now after attending Stanford University for both an undergraduate and masters degrees, and today I enjoy teaching adults and juniors. I have also coached high school tennis locally and compete in local USTA league play. I worked many years as a corporate professional and became certified in 2013 through the PTR, and later in 2019 began in the USPTA (RSPA) pathway. I am a private, independent coach that works out of a facility near my home called Mills College and I have taught over 100 adults and 10's of juniors/teens through foundational and high performance stages. I am also half certified through the Emilio Sanchez Academy on the Spanish Tennis System (only require the on court exam). I have been playing tennis since 1984, or approximately over 30 years.
