McChenier Johnson - Deveaux is a dedicated entrepreneur and licensed Zumba
instructor with a passion for movement, music, and baking artistry. McChenier has inspired
countless individuals to find joy in fitness through engaging, high-energy Zumba
sessions. Her entrepreneurial spirit also shines through her baking venture,
McJo’s Cookie Treats founded in 2015, which evolved into Delicious Decisions.
This bakery specializes in crafting delicious cookies and sweets for the Nassau
and family islands community, combining creativity with quality.
McChenier holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from The College of The
Bahamas, completed in 2012, which underpins her work as a former music
educator with the Catholic Board of Education (2011-2015) and Ministry of
Education (2016-2020). In this role, she introduced students to the fundamentals
of music theory and performance, coordinated school events, and guided
students in developing their musical talents from 2011 to 2020.
Beyond teaching, McChenier has continued to pursue personal growth and
business skills, notably as a member of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs
(AWE) 2021 cohort. Her dedication to high standards and strong work ethic is
evident in her meticulous approach to her baking business, ensuring adherence
to health and safety codes, managing inventory and operations, and crafting new
recipes for seasonal offerings.
