Career
In September 2023, I concluded my 38-year career in the banking and finance industry and entered retirement. After graduating from college, I taught Social Studies at both Middle School and High School levels. In addition to my teaching duties, I also coached girls’ basketball and girls’ softball.
I have been an avid tennis player for over 30 years competing on USTA teams and several local club tournaments. Upon retiring I decided to start a second career as a Tennis Instructor. Since June of 2023 I have been working at Long Island Health and Racquet (Setauket Country Club). I have conducted both private and group lessons and clinics for children aged five through fifteen as well as adults. I have been certified by the Professional Tennis Registry and am an active member of the United States Tennis Association. As part of my training, I have received my Safe Play certification through the USTA. Safe Play provides guidance on creating a safe environment for minors free from bullying, verbal abuse and sexual abuse or any improprieties from either coaches or peers. Included in this certification is a background check as well as an online course and exam.
Personal Life
I have been happily married for 39 years, and my wife and I have a daughter and son-in-law. Our residence is on Long Island, and we have a keen interest in theater, history, and travel.
Volunteer Work
Since 2016, I have been a volunteer for the Local Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and participated in several political campaigns. Along with my wife, I have performed (did I mention I also play guitar) at various local charity events.
