About Theresa

I believe that yoga is medicine for the whole self—body, mind, and spirit. With over a decade as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer—performing ultrasounds and imaging to assess internal systems, particularly cardiovascular health—I developed an intimate, scientific understanding of how our bodies work. Combined with my credential as a Registered Vascular Technologist, I bring rare expertise in anatomy and physiology to my teaching. Today, as a Registered Yoga Teacher specializing in trauma-informed practices, I've woven that medical knowledge together with the healing philosophy of yoga to create transformative experiences for my students.

My own journey taught me the power of this integration. After experiencing significant health challenges, I discovered that true healing happens when we listen to our bodies with compassion rather than force, when we practice acceptance of what is, and when we honor both science and our inner wisdom. This realization led me to leave hospital work and fully embrace yoga as both a personal practice and a calling to serve others.

My classes create a sanctuary where guests can surrender to the present moment. I weave in the principles of yoga philosophy—acceptance, gratitude, and connection—while using evidence-based techniques that quiet the mind and restore the body. Whether leading an energizing sunrise vinyasa, a restorative evening class, or a specialized wellness workshop, I bring authenticity, warmth, and a genuine commitment to each person's wellbeing.
