For Mark, Yoga is not just a job but also a lifestyle. Originally obtaining a degree and beginning in finance, he knew he wanted something different for himself. His start with Yoga came from an initial desire to become more flexible for martial arts. He quickly developed a fascination its holistic system. He began instructing in martial arts where he was trained to work with new students. Mark approached personal training as an initial career, and after a successful number of years, he decided to pursue his true passion which was instructing Yoga. In 2015 he took an extended trip formally study Yoga in Thailand and Bali where he obtained his instructor certificate in the classical style of Ashtanga Yoga. He has been an active instructor since. He owned his own active studio from 2016-2020. He has led teacher trainings and a wide variety of events which include not just Yoga but also meditation, breath work and sound healing. He has experience instructing Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, and Vinyasa Yoga styles. In 2020, he closed his Yoga studio due to Covid. Since then he has remained an active instructor while also pursuing a graduate degree in occupational therapy. He is currently a graduate student at Hofstra University, studying high-level physical sciences while continuing to live and share Yoga. Outside of Yoga he is an avid gardener which is a hobby that has developed as a result of becoming interested in dieting and desiring fresh, organic foods. He is excited to share the practice with you all!
