When I found yoga in my early 20s, it spoke to a part of me that I didn’t fully understand. As I developed a consistent practice, yoga became a refuge. I saw my mental and physical health improve, I managed my life better, and I connected with a beautiful community. As a yoga teacher, my goal is to help you enrich your own life through yoga.
I have been teaching yoga since 2005 and have studied several forms of yoga, including Iyengar, Yin and Bhakti. I specialize in gentle, restorative, yin and chair yoga, which are all practices that can be tailored to your body. I also offer popular sound baths every month that help students experience deep relaxation and 2-hour experiences that combine restorative yoga with sound.
I incorporate these styles, along with my musical talents, humor and compassion, to meet the individual needs of every student in the room—from experienced practitioners to those with injuries, trauma or mobility issues. My gentle yet challenging classes combine movement, music and meditation to cultivate inner strength and peace.
My yoga studies include:
- 200-hour Iyengar-influenced Yoga Teacher Training, plus 95 hours with Jason Crandell
- 60-hour Yin, Yang and Meditation teacher training with Sarah Powers
- Bhakti Yoga studies with Sean Johnson and Silvia Nakkach
