Doreen Rose

I have been a dancer and a fitness enthusiast my entire life. I began dancing at the age of three and grew up performing in theater dance companies in New York and Arizona. I have studied Latin dance rhythms and traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Europe for over thirty years. Most recently, I participated in a cultural dance exchange with the Metamovements Dance Company in La Habana, Cuba.

I worked as a publicist in the music industry before becoming a high school Spanish teacher, my profession of over twenty years. I regularly practice yoga and other forms of physical exercise. I am a competitive equestrian and own a small horse farm in Ridge, New York. For me, Zumba is another way to share with others my enthusiasm for Latin dance rhythms and my respect for world cultures.
