Elsa Tavares

My name is Elsa Tavares! I was born and raised in the United States, Rhode Island specifically! But my parents are from the Cape Verde Islands, and archipelagos off the coast of Africa. I speak 2.5 languages…English of course, my native language, Criolu which is similar to Portuguese but different, and the .5 is Spanish. What I’ve learned is everyone is motivated intrinsically, extrinsically or both, so my goal is to inspire people to do something different, get out of your comfort zone, move without fear in your own unique way. My journey has led her to coach women virtually along with teaching in schools, small and larger fitness facilities , and private corporations. She has been a Lisensed Zumba® Instructor since 2014, Zumba Kids & Kids Jr® since 2022, and is Certified Group Fitness Instructor by National Academy if Sports Medicine (NASM). My greatest passion is family, I enjoy traveling, public speaking and I often purse work in the Non-profit sector.
