Tina Proctor

Hello,

My name is Tina Proctor and I have been a fitness instructor for 30+ years.  I have a true passion for health and fitness and especially love to combine travelling with fitness.  When I am not teaching a fitness class you will find me at my day job as a Public Health Nurse, making a new playlist or routine for my next class or day dreaming about my next vacation. I believe keeping active while on holiday can enhance your overall vacation experience.  I look forward to meeting people and motivating them to find what fitness can do for them whether they are entry level fitness enthusiasts or seasoned athletes. I am a high energy, enthusiastic instructor who loves to have fun while working out and love to share my passion of health and fitness with everyone I meet. Teaching while on vacation would be my dream vacation.

I have taught at various private fitness clubs and community centers over the past 30 years, and even taught in the Bahamas at Club Med - Paradise Island in the early 1990's as a GO teaching fitness classes. I am currently able to teach various formats and styles of classes such as stretch classes, step,  boot camp, circuit classes, spin and body sculpt. I have many years of experience using booty bands, dumb bells, medicine balls, slam balls, bosu balls, stability balls, kettle bells, sliders, TRX, dyna-bands and other various fitness equipment. I am adept in teaching to those with sports injuries and disabilities of all ages (from 15- 75 years old). Most recently I became a coach for circuit training with Keiser equipment in October 2024 at Corten Fitness Club where I teach 2-5 classes/week and am loving it.

While teaching at Clarkson Community Centre I have often had people attend my classes with disabilities and injuries. Being a Registered Nurse has given me extensive pathophysiology knowledge which has allowed me to offer safe alternatives and modifications during my classes. Being able to make everyone in the class feel successful no matter their ability gives me a great sense of pride;  and to see everyone leave the class feeling a sense of accomplishment and a smile on their faces is what makes me eager and motivated to teach my next class.
