I began practicing yoga in 2016. I started as a client at Vive Yoga Studio and I was introduced to Power and Core styles of yoga practice – I was hooked. It was the first type of physical activity which provided mind & body connections and gave me so much more than a workout.
I decided to take my practice to deeper level when I attended Yoga Teacher Training through Vive Yoga Studio and Shakti & Free School of Yoga in 2019. I graduated with my 200hr RYT Certification in July 2020, and I began teaching immediately following.
Teaching yoga has allowed me to use my creative mind to piece together asanas in new and interesting ways, and to use music to create a high energy throughout the flow of class. The practice makes me feel physically & mentally stronger and is a constant reminder to have patience with myself and others.
When I am not on my mat, my time is spent with my family - my husband (Luke) and three children (Monroe – 15, Cy – 11, Bowie – 3).
