My passion for fitness began at age 15 when I started to attend a martial arts school. I became a 1st degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and found myself competing on a professional level.
After spending several years in the corporate world, I decided to re-focus my goals and utilize my energy in the one thing that came naturally for me: fitness.
I began working for my local fitness center, and became a certified Personal Trainer through AFAA. I also enrolled myself back into school and started to work on my B.S in Athletic Training.
My clients vary from weight-loss, to body-builders. I have worked with senior citizens, and athletes. Pre-natal and post-partum. Rehab and injury prevention. If you have a goal and you balance the right components, you can truly achieve.
I also currently teach muscle conditioning and strength training classes. I have taught boot-camp style classes and circit training.
Being an avid cyclists, I decided to further enhance my fitness base and became a certified cycling coach with Johnny.G. I began coaching indoor cycling classes / spinning based on the 'road riding' principle. A great way to burn calories and have fun all at the same time.
I also started working with triathlon groups and competitive cyclists. My favorite venture was recently training someone to ride Mount Washington.
Being a martial artists, I also decided to work on my kickboxing certification with AFAA, and currently teach at the local fitness center.
I am a strong believer in the fact that "you can never know too much", and I continue to further educate myself and stay up-to-date with current fitness changes. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you, and passing on some of my knowledge, energy, and spark, to make YOU the best you already know you can be.
