Courtney Graves

A self-proclaimed Army brat, Courtney lived in Germany until moving to Texas in 2002. After receiving her degree in psychology, she worked in clinical research until 2015 when she decided to leave the corporate world to pursue a career in fitness instruction. Courtney’s journey with yoga began in 2011 when, like many, she began taking yoga classes looking for a form of physical exercise. She quickly became passionate about yoga and found that it was so much more than just a workout, it was a healing mind-body experience.

Through the self-confidence gained from her yoga practice, she decided to try aerial fitness classes and quickly found another passion. Courtney taught aerial fitness, including body conditioning, pole fitness, lyra, and pole silks, for many years until suffering a major injury requiring reconstructive shoulder surgery in late 2016. During recovery she decided to return to her roots and pursue her yoga teacher certification.

Courtney believes that yoga is truly transformational in healing the body and the mind and loves to tie in her knowledge of human psychology with her zeal for wellness and body mechanics. Known for her signature pink hair and mat, she's been sharing her style of yoga since 2017, specializing in creative, fluid vinyasa flows, core conditioning, and restorative deep stretch experiences.

Courtney is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, having completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Lotus Yoga and her 300-hour teacher certification through Samanova Yoga. She is also certified in beginner through intermediate pole fitness, beginner aerial lyra, and pole silks. Most recently, in 2025, Courtney expanded her training with a certification in Pilates Mat through Pilates Instructor Academy.

You can find Courtney teaching in Dallas, Texas at Satya Yoga and Pose Studios Preston-Royal.
