- Sarah Wolton
Hi, I'm Sarah Wolton. I have been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2010. I was originally trainied by Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Level 1 and Level 2 training. Shortly after my first training I opened up my own yoga studio in Kelowna, BC in 2012 named The Hot Box Yoga. Soon afterwards I opened my second location in Vancouver BC., and then opened a 3rd location in West Kelowna. I was the main teacher and mentor for all my staff and students. After Covid I had to close two of my business locations and continued running formerly known as The Hot Box Yoga and rebranded to VNYSA in one of Vancouver's wealthiest and affluent neighbourhoods Wesbrook Village which is located on the UBC campus. I then launched my own 200hr yoga teacher training, VNYSA School of Yoga. As of May of 2024 I acquired a yoga studio in Tofino B.C., Canada's natural paradise / surf town, called Forest and Waves Yoga Studio (www.tofinostudio.com). At Forest and Waves Yoga Studio I curate specialty classes and events ie. workshops, seasonal offerings, and continuing education. I also own and operate the yoga teacher training in Tofino - we offer both a 200hr & 300hr immersive Yoga Alliance Certified Training. I love the vibe of Tofino as my life is the brightest when I surf and practice/teach yoga and would love to share my passion abroad. In Tofino our yoga studio offers beach yoga, Stand Up Paddleboard yoga, and is a satellite for experienced guest teachers to come and visit beautiful Tofino and share their enthusiasm and devotion to yoga and living a yogic lifestyle.
I have remained a student throughout all my years of experience in practicing, teaching, managing and operating my businesses. I have learnt through my past 15 years experience of yoga that the practice is expansive, all-inclusive and all encompassing in living your best life. In today's disconnected world it is more important than ever to stay connected to our most authentic self but to also have the strength and courage to embrace new perspectives and explore new pathways while staying curious and joyful as we continue to embark on this personal journey. Let us connect within so that we can share and connect more deeply on a universal level.
Let me share my favourite quote with you by Sharon Ganon:
"Lokah samastah sukhino bavintu" This is sanskrit that translates to: "May all being's be happy and free and may the thoughts words and actions of my own life contribute to the happiness and freedom for all."
