My passion for fitness and enthusiasm for group exercise are what motivated me to become certified as a fitness professional. I had been regularly participating in group exercise classes for a number of years, and the enjoyment I felt while exercising as part of a group, as well as the physical benefits I began experiencing, including improved strength, muscle tone, increased confidence and overall fitness level, fuelled my desire to lead others and assist them in achieving their individual fitness goals. I have successfully completed a number of certifications, including Spinning (Mad Dogg Athletics), Fitness Instructor Specialist (Can-Fit-Pro) as well as BodyPump and CX WORX (Les Mills), which have provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge, as well as the necessary skills required to teach a safe and effective group fitness class for all exercise levels, while building upon my communication skills, instructional techniques and motivational abilities. I teach all styles of classes – from Spinning, to Low Impact Cardiovascular, to Core Strengthening, to Abs/Butt, to Boot Camp, to Aqua Aerobics, to Weight Training classes, including BodyPump. This strength conditioning class is the most popular (and in my opinion the most fun!), and by using weight-room style exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls, the fastest way to shape up, gain strength, and lose body fat – achieving the results that participants came for! The personal interaction – from educating participants on form and technique, to motivating them to reach limits and achieve results they wouldn’t otherwise have accomplished on their own – is what I enjoy most about group fitness. As a group ex instructor, my enthusiasm is obvious! My experience, as well as my education in fitness, enables me to help everyone in their quest to reach their personal health and fitness goals, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. This provides the class participants, as well as myself, a sense of achievement and inspiration – all while enjoying an exciting, challenging, fun, and effective class environment. I continually receive positive feedback about my classes both from class participants, as well as from other instructors, and have been named as one of GoodLife Fitness's Monthly Top Performers numerous times since 2008 !

My experience in teaching aerobics down south has enabled me to travel while doing something I LOVE, which is not just working out, but teaching as well! I have gained experience teaching Aqua Aerobics, various Stretching & Sculpting classes, as well as Low Impact Aerobics classes in Montego Bay, Jamaica (Rose Hall) and Cancun, Mexico (Crown Paradise).
