- Ellen Gray
My name is Ellen Gray and I have been a fitness professional for over 10 years. I received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Ph.D. in Ecology from Penn State, after which I worked as the Director of the Inventory and Monitoring Program for The National Park Service and U.S. Geological Survey for 5 years. I discovered a passion for fitness in 2008 and began competing in triathlons, garnering many podium finishes and competing in the National Championships as well as qualifying for the World Championships. I began martial arts training in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido in 2010, earning my black belt and teaching adults and children the skills I learned. In addition, I became certified in Les Mills BODYCOMBAT in 2012, and taught those classes at the YMCA for 8 years. Other classes taught at the YMCA include core, tabata, cycle and yoga. Healthy weight loss is an interest of mine and I took the YMCA classes for certification in their program, leading weight loss workshops for several years. I added a Beatboss cycle certification in 2018 and have been sharing my joy of spinning with members ever since. Yoga has been a passion of mine and I have been a practitioner for over 10 years. In 2024 I completed my 200YTT with Powers Yoga which includes Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Chair. I have greatly enjoyed sharing my yoga practice with others for the past year. I look forward to providing both fun and productive classes with vacationers around the world in a dynamic and supportive environment with Fit Bodies.
