As a former practicing attorney and social worker, current owner of a legal recruitment business, and a mother of three, I spent many years feeling stressed out and overwhelmed. That changed dramatically when I discovered the physical and emotional benefits of yoga. I was drawn to the physical asanas of yoga, in part, because I spent 18 years as a competitive gymnast, although the sense of peace and calm that yoga brought into my life is what keeps me coming to my mat.
As an outgoing, friendly and energetic individual, I became a yoga instructor to share the transformative and life changing impacts of yoga with my students. My classes are grounded in a vinyasa style, with a focus on breath, mindful movement and alignment. I strive to maintain an inclusive space for all levels, from first-timers to advanced practitioners, and I provide modifications and options to level-up designed to make all students feel successful. My classes are designed to foster both strength and relaxation, creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone to explore their practice.
As a yoga teacher, I am dedicated to cultivating a sense of community among my students. Many of my students lack a consistent support system and/or network of family and friends, and they turn to yoga for community and connections with others. My class is designed to foster connections among students, and over time, I have fostered a social circle of students who have developed meaningful friendships and spend time together outside of class.
