- Jeffrey Rust
My name is Jeff Rust and I am an RSPA Certified Pickleball instructor. I was raised in Iowa and my wife and I moved to Colorado in 1984. We are lucky to have both of our sons, their wives and 5 grandchildren living close to us in SW metro Denver. I played basketball in high school and was named All American my senior year. I also enjoyed coaching both of our sons in basketball from YMCA through Gold Crown traveling teams.
Approximately 8 years ago I was introduced to pickleball, fell in love with the game and have been playing recreationally and in tournaments ever since. I enjoy helping beginner level players start their pickleball journey and working with them to improve their skill level and knowledge of the game as well as working with intermediate/high level players on more advanced techniques and strategies of the game. I am retired from the accounting and finance industry and really enjoy teaching others the game that I love.
Recently I started volunteering with Alzheimer's Simplified Pickleball, a program that gives Alzheimer patients and their caregivers a chance to enjoy pickleball in a fun and encouraging environment.
My wife and I have traveled to a couple resorts when Mark Chomko, a Fit Bodies pickleball instructor, was the resort's pickleball instructor for the week. I got a firsthand look at what it is like for a Fit Bodies instructor to teach and assist beginner level players as well as instruct and facilitate play for higher level players
I am looking forward to joining the Fit Bodies team, teaching people in a fun and entertaining way the great game of pickleball, as well as giving them lessons to improve their game as they travel to various resorts on their vacations.
