Steven Marto

I’m Steven Marto, a Professional Pickleball Registry Certified Coach (PPR) with a lifelong passion for sports and teaching. For more than 30 years, I’ve played and taught tennis around the world, working with juniors, adults, and competitive athletes, and I’ve also had the opportunity to coach skiing internationally.

Five years ago, I discovered pickleball, and it quickly became more than just a game—it became a calling. For the last four years, I’ve dedicated myself to playing and coaching pickleball at every level, from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to seasoned competitors refining their game.

Along the way, I’ve competed in PPA tournaments, including the U.S. Open and the Atlanta Open, as well as other regional and national tournaments. These experiences deepened my knowledge of the game and strengthened my passion for sharing that excitement with others. I’m also a proud member of the USA Pickleball Association, which keeps me connected to the sport’s growing community and standards.

I take pride in being a compassionate, patient coach who meets every player where they are. My goal is not only to teach technique, but also to inspire confidence, foster sportsmanship, and share the joy of the game. Nothing excites me more than watching players of all ages and skill levels grow, connect, and thrive on the court.

In addition to my coaching experience, I also speak French, which allows me to connect with a broader community of players. Whether we’re working on fundamentals, strategy, or mindset, I’m committed to helping each student discover their potential and love for the sport.
