Alejandro Ibanez

Padel & Tennis Instructor | Former ATP Player | 4x NCAA National Champion

I was born in Puertollano, Ciudad Real, Spain, and I’ve been surrounded by racquet sports my entire life. Tennis has been my passion since I was a kid, and I started playing padel at the age of 15, a sport that has since become just as important to me as tennis.

After reaching an ATP ranking of 960, I moved to the United States to compete for Barry University, where I had the privilege of helping our team win four consecutive NCAA National Championships (2019–2023). In 2019, I also won the ITA Singles USA National Championship, which remains one of my proudest individual achievements.

I started coaching tennis in 2017 in Spain, and in 2022 I began teaching padel as well. Since then, I’ve continued to coach both sports full-time, combining my competitive experience with a personalized and approachable coaching style. I hold a Wilson Padel Certification and an ATP Professional Certification, reflecting both my technical foundation and my experience as a former professional player.

I teach in English and Spanish, offering private and group lessons for all ages and levels in both tennis and padel. My sessions focus on improving technique, understanding tactics, and, above all, helping players enjoy the game. I also have hands-on experience with padel court installations and safety standards, and I often advise resorts and facilities to ensure optimal setups for their guests.

Today, through Racquet Sports Management, I’m excited to bring my experience, energy, and love for racquet sports to resort guests around the world, creating fun, dynamic, and high-quality tennis and padel experiences for every player I meet.
