I played Division 1 college tennis, and then have been a full-time teaching professional for the past 10 years. I've been teaching pickleball as well for the past 5 years. I created a new sport called Spec Tennis in 2016 which is a cross between tennis & pickleball. In addition to it being a social sport, I use it regularly as a teaching aid with my students as it allows players to learn the same strokes & strategies as full-court tennis but in a more favorable learning environment when they are starting out.
