- Zach Rocha
Graduated as the all-time winningest player at New Bedford High School - though I peaked emotionally in 1997 as the Grand Old Woody Wooden Racket Tournament Champion, a title I continue to bring up at parties unprovoked. Went on to earn First-Team All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles at Lesley University, where I perfected the art of gritting out 3-set matches and celebrating like I won Wimbledon.
Now a professional tennis coach with the Raleigh Tennis Association, I've traded in the teen angst for sunscreen, squeegees, and a relentless belief that the Wilson 6.5 Hyper Pro Staff is still the greatest racket ever made (don't @ me). Whether I'm teaching 7-year-olds how to high-five or convincing adults that footwork is more important than forehands, I bring passion, patience, and a playlist full of 90s hip-hop to every court.
Still chasing that perfect backhand, but these days, I'll settle for inspiring it in someone else.
