After having two children back to back in my mid-thirties, I joined Goodlife Fitness. It was a women's only gym with free child-minding and Les Mills classes. I had never heard of Les Mills prior to trying the classes. I started with their version of spin, known as RPM as I had not only previous experience with spin classes but also had done a spin certification 5 years prior. I took an instant liking to it. Within a year, an instructor approached me about going to RPM training. This is when my fitness instructor journey started. I continued after RPM a year later with certifying in Les Mills BodyPump, their version of group barbell weight classes. Now, 14 years later, I continue to instruct at Goodlife. It keeps me fresh, fit and focused.
