Allison Smith is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, studio owner, and healthcare professional with a passion for movement, mental health, and community building. She has owned and operated her yoga studio since 2018, where she most loves teaching power yoga and hot yoga—but her training spans nearly every style, including kids yoga, prenatal and postnatal yoga, restorative, yin, Bikram-style, aerial, wall, and partner yoga.
In addition to her work on the mat, Allison is a practicing physician assistant with a background in behavioral medicine, bringing a trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware approach to her teaching. She also serves as president of a nonprofit organization, blending leadership, creativity, and advocacy in her work beyond the studio.
An outdoors enthusiast who loves hiking, the ocean, and fresh air whenever she can get it, Allison is also navigating life as a new mom to a one-year-old son. Her classes are known for being strong, inclusive, intelligently sequenced—and never too serious. Laughter is welcome, bad jokes are inevitable, and showing up as you are is always enough.
