Beverly is a Certified Yoga Teacher and has been practicing yoga for 30 + years. She has been teaching yoga since 2014.
Yoga found her back in the early 90s discovering it to be the missing link in her exercise regime.
Yoga proved to be essential to increase flexibility, lengthen muscles and was an introduction to a better balance in overall health, wellbeing and mindfulness.
It wasn’t until 2000, while living in Toronto, Canada that she began to truly understand the mind/body connection of yoga while studying and practicing with experienced teachers, Esther Myers and Monica Voss at Esther Yoga Studio. She began to understand the relationship between the ground, the breath and the spine. Finding balance and body awareness through conscious movement has changed her perspective and approach to all other forms of exercise. It has also taught her to be patient with herself allowing freedom of the mind and body.
Through the years, practicing with a variety of great yoga teachers, she has gained inspiration and knowledge that supports her teaching style. She is forever a student and always open to learning new skills towards self improvement and encouraging others.
Beverly has completed Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Nidra Certification at Shakti in St. John’s, NL, Canada.
She is also a certified Holistic Nutritionist, completing her studies at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, Toronto, Canada in 2005.
Her other certifications include, Reiki levels I and II, Personal Trainer and studies in “Teaching yoga to the aging population”. She has facilitated several retreats and will be hosting an international yoga retreat in Portugal in 2026.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Memorial University in St. John’s, NL and worked in the fields of Earth Science and Environmental Assessment for 20 + years.
She has a very active lifestyle that includes yoga, hiking, weight training, healthy cooking and travel!
