Martin Boström
I’m originally from Stockholm, Sweden, where I grew up playing tennis and developed a strong technical foundation and love for racquet sports. In 2004, I moved to the United States to play college tennis and have proudly called it home ever since.
I competed in Division I tennis at Western Illinois University, an experience that shaped both my competitive mindset and my approach to coaching. Since 2010, I’ve been teaching tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis at private country clubs throughout Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Over the years, I’ve worked with players of all ages and levels — from beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to experienced competitors looking to sharpen their strategy and match play.
I currently serve as the Director of Racquets at Morris County Golf Club in New Jersey, where I oversee racquet programming and player development. My role includes running clinics, organizing events, teaching private lessons, and helping create a welcoming and energetic racquet community.
Off the court, I’m married to Florentina Hanisch, who is also a Director of Racquets, and we have a beautiful 4½-year-old daughter, Sofia. Racquet sports are truly a family affair in our home, and I’m grateful to share both my profession and passion with the people closest to me.
