Melissa Barnes

As a Certified Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach and 200-hour certified Yoga Instructor, my happy place and joy is in helping each of my clients achieve specific, realistic and measurable milestones that lead to a healthier body, mind, and spirit. Integrating fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness allows my clients to achieve an overarching sense of self-confidence, happiness and health in all aspects of their lives.

I started practicing yoga in 2003 during my service in the military.  I retired after 20 years of service and now live happily with my husband (also retired military) and our goofy cat in downtown Indianapolis, IN.  I began teaching online to support the mental health and wellbeing of individuals after the 2020 pandemic and after moving to Indianapolis, decided to connect with a local studio to begin working part-time.  I've been hooked ever since!
