Kristen Mullen

Kristen Mullen is a Zumba instructor, Finance Manager, and mom of two teenage boys based in Shirley, Massachusetts. Kristen manages the administrative side of operations of the for the family engineering business, M Precision Laboratories, founded by her husband, Jeffrey in 2012. At home, the team is rounded out by Waffles, the family's dachshund terrier mix and unofficial office mascot. For Kristen, Zumba began as a hobby and has grown into a part-time passion , a place where music, movement, and community come together.

Kristen's journey as an instructor is rooted in 15 years as a dedicated Zumba participant at various gyms in Massachusetts. Her teaching journey started at Orchard Hills Athletic Center in Lancaster, MA , a fitness community she has called home for over a decade. It was her own instructor who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue certification, which she earned in 2023. She began her teaching career in April 2024 as a substitute instructor at Orchard Hills, stepping in to cover an extended absence for nearly a year before earning her own class in March 2025. Kristen brings the perspective of a long-time student to every class she leads, and is passionate about creating an energetic, welcoming experience for participants of all levels.
