Eimear Byrne

My name is Eimear Byrne and I am based in Ireland, Europe.  I decided to change career in my 40s, having been in administration for a long time.  I gained my fitness qualifications and have been running a successful business since making the big change.  I love this change in career and get so much more joy from it.  I have a loyal clientele and my business is still growing.  My goal is always to have inclusive classes where everyone can feel welcome and have fun while achieving their goals safely.  My clients would describe me as bubbly and welcoming.

I started dancing at age 3 or 4 in a tots ballet class, and really since then I have danced and been sporty in one way or another.  I took part in sports throughout my school years and as an adult was always involved in dance as a hobby.  I have coached in many different areas from assisting with coaching gymnastics as a teenager, to more recent years where I trained and competed in the sport of powerlifting, achieving Masters National records, and also went on to get a coaching qualification and coached powerlifting at the gym I attended in 2019.  Since my teen years I have been interested in accessibility for all and diversity, and volunteered through the Irish Red Cross with a weekly swimming club for those with additional needs.  I now instruct multiple classes weekly for the older person, and those with additional learning needs.

I started teaching dance fitness classes several years ago and went on to get my Zumba, Strong Nation, and group fitness instructor and personal trainer qualifications.  I went from teaching classes part time while still working in medical transcription during the day, to now running a successful business with a variety of classes each week.

I absolutely adore and thrive instructing group fitness classes and love seeing people get stronger, have fun and relieve stress.  Seeing those smiling faces and people leave happier is the best part of my job.

I'm married to my wonderful husband, Pat, and we have two rescue dogs - no children.  Fun fact: Even though I'm in my mid 40s people still think I'm in my 20s!
