At all stages of life, there are many things we can do to maximize our vitality. By making small and deliberate changes in our daily routines, and considering our relationships, to setting larger goals such as preparing to run in a race, we can increase our energy, physical performance, mental acuity and overall well being. Only by acting upon sound advice, we can make progress towards better health. My goal is to become a career nutrition, fitness and life coach, to help people take control of their health.
My approach to health and wellness is holistic, as I think it important to consider the range of factors in addition to baseline health data. With past clients, I have started developing a plan that enables individuals to achieve their goals through a collaborative process of assessment, planning, education and guidance. I am personally involved in the complete health and wellness of my current clients and plan for the personal connection to be my greatest offering to future patients. Though I have read dozens of books on my own, and earned a few fitness and nutritional certifications, additional academic study will help ensure that I have a complete background from which I can report accurate information.
My ultimate goal is to enable people to put their health in their own hands. In this effort, I plan to help create a network of community resources to educate families on how to eat, move, and be healthy. I plan to coach community sports, work with individual clients, offer fitness classes at community centers, and offer classes in park and rec. departments. In these efforts, I will give encouragement, and teach techniques that help avoid disease and other health problems.
With my education I plan to help national goals by increasing the health of my community. I see this choice of careers similar to a teacher who is improving the future by planting the seeds of a better healthcare system. Cultivating my systems and methods is my major, goal and will be greatly improved through academic study. With the education I receive, I will be better able to help people take control of their health.
For the last several years, I have dedicated myself to a learning about health and balance. With constant developments in this field I must educate and change myself to provide a effective and accurate advice service. I see each client, each challenge, and each book and teacher as an opportunity to learn and grow.
