Michelle Perez

My group training started with Martial Arts in 1985 at the age of 15. I competed nationally and was ranked in the top ten competitors for several years (1990-1994). In 1995, I started to teach kickbox aerobics to our Taekwondo classes to prepare competitors in cardiovascular fitness for competitions. I was certified as a group fitness instructor personal trainer in 1998 and expanded to work in clubs. Since that time, I have added the following formats: step aerobics, hi/low aerobics, cardio sculpt, interval step, Taekwondo, body sculpting, urban rebounding (mini-Trampoline), BOSU ball, stability ball (core conditioning), pilates mat and precision cycling. Teaching has been a life long love of mine, besides teaching fitness, I taught for 6 years leadership to high school and middle school students. I also earned my masters in education from the University of Houston in 2002 which helped with my work to develop curriculum for public schools.
