Eduardo Fajardo Dance BIO
Eduardo Fajardo has been a dancer for more than 20 years, and has been a performer throughout that time. He was a dancer for the prestigious Folk Dance Group of his native country Honduras,â€SECTUR†(Secretaria de Cultura y Turismo).He moved to New York in 1992 with his family and continued to dance in local exhibitions promoted by the Honduras Consulate in New York City.
He has studied ballroom dancing at the studios of the Arthur Murray School in Bayshore Long Island,where he then became an instructor in all levels of ballroom dancing specializing in Latin dances. He taught dances like samba, mambo, cha-cha, paso doble, merengue,waltz,swing,tango and rumba.
While living in Long Island , he participated in many different community theaters, as a choreographer and instructor. His Theater Art dance skills have led him to participate in several dance exhibitions and competitions.
During the summer of 2000, he taught salsa and swing at the Bally Total Fitness clubs in New York City, where he is currently working as an instructor, teaching different aerobics classes at all their New York locations.
In 2002, Eduardo was invited to participate in a Zumba seminar (a very dynamic and exciting class full of Latin flavor) offered by Bally Total Fitness and Zumba Fitness to become a Certified Zumba Instructor. Since then, he has appeared in different TV shows
like the Caroline Rhea talk show and The Channel 7 news and the Hispanic television channels Univision 41 and Telemundo, as well as an international tour to Honduras, El Salvador , Costa Rica and Mexico, where he performed at different venues in 2005 and 2006.
Eduardo is currently teaching as a certified Zumba instructor at various Bally Total Fitness Clubs across New York City, Long Island, Queens, Bronx and New Jersey, as well as many dance studios like Capezio Dance Products Studio in Wayne, NJ , The Dance-Expo Studio in Bensonhurt,NY and Satrlight Dance Studio in New Hyde Park, NY.
