My personal and professional life revolve around health. I have been teaching various forms since the age of 18. Over these 15 years I have taught step, hi/lo, boot camp, Pi/Yo (Pilates & Yoga combined), Pilates Mat, sculpting, Cycling, Hip Hop Cycling, flow yoga, aerial yoga, and core based class (called hardCORE) on a part-time basis. Being an instructor part-time has been a great complement to my full-time life in academics. It has given me an outlet to relieve stress and focus my mind on my body as opposed to my full-time life where I focus on academics. I recently completed my PhD in public health at Johns Hopkins University. Both my part-time and full-time careers intertwine and it has been a great way for me to promote health in different capacities. Even in my travels as a student living abroad, I have been able to be a guest instructor and teach in Spanish while doing my public health internship in Costa Rica.
Fitness always has and always will be a part of my life and I love sharing my experience, knowledge and passion with other people!
