Melissa Rivers

I began studying fitness my sophomore year in college at James Madison University. I chose a concentration in exercise sciences because I was very interested not just in how to be fit/healthy but why and the physiological responses behind exercise. My main focus during my undergraduate education was on women and weight loss. I am now currently a graduate student studying specifically exercise physiology and my focus has shifted to resistance training and building muscle. I enjoy leading a healthy lifestyle; eating clean, exercise, and motivating others to do the same. During my free time from school I am a personal trainer and I continue to stay updated through independent research on exercise and wellness. I love to work out and I enjoy teaching others what I have learned through education and experience!
