Mr. Minnis is a lifelong fitness enthusiast and athlete. Mr. Minnis played competitively as a youth in soccer, basketball, football, and track. Although Mr. Minnis was a highly sought after collegiate athlete in soccer, basketball and football, Mr. Minnis accepted a full athletic scholarship in soccer. Mr. Minnis eventually played 7 years professional soccer in the 2nd division of the United Soccer Leagues.
Mr. Minnis coaching and training career began when he was a high schooler volunteering in the local special olympics program. After graduating from college Mr. Minnis remained active in coaching--training youths in soccer through the local recreation department's programs.
Mr. Minnis left the corporate world to pursue his interests on a full-time basis, coaching, training and developing young student athletes and fitness enthusiasts looking to improve their performance and health . Mr. Minnis founded "Premier Sports and Health" a training organization dedicated to developing athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
Mr. Minnis is highly qualified as a personal trainer and group instructor. Mr. Minnis operates the #1 boot camp program in Washington, DC--DC Adventure Boot Camp. Mr. Minnis provides personal training services to clients in Washington, DC. Mr. Minnis maintains an active role in soccer, serving as Technical Director of Coaching to Sports on the Hill (a sports organization based in Capital Hill. Mr. Minnis also provides speed and power conditioning training to student athletes in Washington DC. Mr. Minnis is the author of "How To Get An Athletic Scholarship, A Student Athlete's Guide to Collegiate Athletics."
