I have always been active and competitive in various sports, but my passion for training other people was discovered while filling in for an instructor at the local gym. This lead me to complete formal strength and conditioning training and to obtain my certifications. I started my practical experience as a YMCA-certified Fitness Instructor teaching individual conditioning in the weight room. Participating in various classes at the YMCA inspired me to also teach group muscle conditioning classes and eventually indoor cycling and Aqua-Aerobics.
As a father of two active children I have recently become involved with downhill mountain biking with my son and a somewhat less competitive badminton player with my daughter. Summers are spent enjoying the cottage life while the kids have a break from school and dad manages some time off work.
