Sharon Greenstein has been sharing her love of yoga through her teaching since 2001. She began this quest by taking a Yoga Fit Certification which enabled her to teach a fitness-based vinyasa flow class while maintaining the safety of proper alignment. She went on to expand her studies with a 200 hour certification in Ishta yoga from Be Yoga under the guidance of Alan Finger. This training incorporated not only the additional attention to alignment that is very prominent in her style of teaching, but also added a meditative and philosophical flair to her group classes and private sessions.
In addition, she has completed trainings in Yoga Kids as well as Power Pilates. Now pursuing her studies in the Anusara style of yoga, she has become an “Anusara inspired†teacher, bringing further alignment refinement and heart opening qualities to her classes.
To add to her versatility, she has attended workshops in Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, and Anusara taught by master instructors David Swenson, Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Shiva Rea, and John Friend, as well as many others.
In 2001 Sharon started Yoga Bodies, Inc which consists of teaching private and group classes to adults, children and teens. She was inspired to teach and start Yoga Bodies, Inc due to an appreciation of the benefits of yoga in her own life. Her passion was fueled by the instant transformation she felt in her own practice and manifested into a desire to share this with others.
