This includes the creation of curriculums aimed at 1-6 and 6-12 graders. Each group is broken down by grade as step-by-step instruction as well as innovative games and assessment tools are utilized to enhance the teaching of tennis with a field-tested model of instruction. ¨ Adult Team Director - Served as technical lead for team captains regarding the strategies of doubles. This also includes private lessons to increase stroke production. Utilizing a step-by-step system to teach adults teams how to build a doubles game. Adult teams are instructed through a series of moves repeated over and over in a predictable manner where execution makes the difference between winning and losing. STAFF PRO - YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Burdett Tennis Center Riverdale, Georgia. July 2002 – Present ¨ Instructing youth in both the development and improvement of strokes. This includes other areas such as strategy, mental toughness, and physical fitness. ¨ Helping youth understand that improving strokes can make even the simplest strategy more effective. This underlining core philosophy help students understand that stroke improvement is not always immediate, yet it does require a sincere committed love for the game. STAFF PRO Hidden Hills Country Club, Decatur Georgia. July 2001 - July 2002 ¨ Instructing doubles showing how to execute offensive, defensive, and tactical play. Other topics include the controlling the net and proper court position. ¨ Provided instruction for use of mind/body connection while learning to trust oneself on the court to find a state of relaxed concentration, while focusing the mind to overcome nervousness and self-doubt. ¨ Mental training included the ability to reach a high emotional state with the ability to control thought and feelings towards advances performance on the court.
