I graduated from Oklahoma State University w/ a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. I began my career as a certified Physical Education teacher in Oklahoma. After marrying, travels lead my experience and opportunity abroad to Heidelberg, Germany, then Alabama, stopping in North Carolina. Along the way w/ my teaching and fitness activity w/ children, I began to pursue aerobics. I have been a Certification Specialist w/ AFAA for 9 years. I teach the Primary Group Exercise Certification, Indoor Cycling program, and instruct a new CEU workshop called Injury Prevention. I am certified w/ AFAA for my Primary Group, Step & Mat Science; Precision Cycling; Reebok Cycling; Resist-a-ball I; Kickbox Fitness; Ramping 1-2-3; SCW EDU-Stability, Mobility & Conditioning for the 50+Population Training Certified Instructor; and I am a YMCA Cycle Reebok Instructor Trainer. I've been a certified aerobics instructor for 12 years. My work experience and travels have provided me w/ the opportunity to lead Group Exercise Programs in franchise and privately owned "for-profit' facilities as well as non-profit facilities. I also have experience w/ being a Fitness Director. In October of 2004, my employment sent me to Brazil to lead group exercise instruction to staff of the YMCA in Porto Alegra. I had the wonderful experience of sharing stability ball and indoor cycling workshops w/ them. Like music...fitness is universal! I have taught CEU workshops over topics such as stability ball, sculpting, indoor cycling, music and phrasing, as well as a "new 2" for beginning instructors. I am married, (15 years as of July 2005!) and have two beautiful daughters.
