Jermaine Jones

I have been a fitness enthusiast as long as I can remember. I was always an athlete which, naturally lead me to the field of Health and Fitness. In 1996, I began my Personal Training career at a Ladies only Health Club called Riviera Fitness. And, even though I seemed to excel and be hungry for knowledge, I realized there was a large population of individuals, besides women, that I wanted to help. I branched out to Co-Ed fitness facilities and began reading, studying, and attending fitness seminars to increase my knowledge. Unfortunately, in 1999, I lost my mother (age 48) to a stroke that was the result of years of uncontrolled high blood pressure and self-neglect. Fitness then became an avenue for me to speak to clients about my family and teach the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. So many have taken the "FEEL" out of fitness and have strictly focused on the "LOOK." With my clients, and in everyday encounters, I try to remind people that LOOKING fit takes a backseat to FEELING fit.
