Harry Wheeler

I have been training since 1964 when I was 9. I started in the martial arts at that age and was teaching regularly by the age of 17. I still teach to this day at Fist Law Academy in Downers Grove, Il. During this time I have also taught group fitness classes in Cardio Kickboxing. I also started bodybuilding in 1969 at the age of 13. I competed in various bodybuilding competitions from 1982 until 1990, mostly in Illinois but also in Iowa and Colorado. I was also a judge of bodybuilding competitions for numerous years. One of the first judges of women's competitions in Colorado. During the time I was competing, I was also acting as a personal trainer for many bodybuilding competitors. In recent years, I have been a fitness instructor for the Cook County Sheriff's Training Academy in Chicago, Il., amongst other duties. I personally designed the training program now used to condition the new recruits coming into the Sheriff's Dept.
