I am a certified blue belt Nia Instructor, with a 30 year teaching background. Growing up in a musical family, I have had decades of dance, choreography and voice training, plus years of theatre experience. To keep fit, I have also been involved with yoga, outdoor activities, aerobics and several new fitness workouts.
Travel has been a big part of my life since 1978 when I first visited the far east and then spent 2 years travelling and working, particularly in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have also taught in Greece and Australia. It is my passion and I love to share the cultural experience of destinations with my clients.
“Discovering Nia has added a new dimension to my life. It not only satisfies my passion for dance and teaching, but as an eternal student, it fulfills my interest in well-being and self-discovery. Due to the versatility and fun of Nia, I see it as the perfect lifestyle choice for anyone wanting a wellness regime which maintains its freshness while celebrating our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual journey.”
I continue my personal development and studies through ongoing workshops, classes and events in Toronto and abroad. I am planning on taking another belt level this June and then another in October. I am also interested in Latin Dance, and am looking more into this as a teaching tool.
I have had experience teaching all ages, and combinations of family members.
